Yuuup. So many bad takes have surrounded what he said. It may have been a calculated move to word it poorly to Own the Libs, but I don’t disagree with him. “Piracy” doesn’t have to be the Disney type where you have swashbucklers jumping ship to ship. It can also include hostile remote takeover of communication satellites or attacks on state/non-state actors by non-state actors. These will become real concerns in the next two decades as space travel becomes easier and cheaper. The time to prepare is now and it is prudent to establish an official force through which to execute appropriate actions.
